What is the best time to go to Costa Rica?
We basically have two seasons; the rainy (may till december) and the dry season (january till April) and the dry season is most popular for visits to our part of the world. Probably also cause then it is colder in the countries where lots of tourists come from: Europe, USA and Canada. Having said that, we must add the the dry season starts earlier on the Pacific Coast (december) and that that the most driest months on the Caribbean side of the country are in february/march and september/october. So even though september/ october falls in the wet season, on the Caribbean it is very dry!
Important to know is that in the wet season, it is less crowded in Costa Rica and you can get better deals in hotels and for tours. You will meet less people and you will need to hide for the rain now and then, but some people might prefer to come to Costa Rica in the wet or so called "green" season!
